This page will be updated to reflect information regarding the 7th Annual Palm Beach Poetry Festival, scheduled for January 17-22, 2011 shortly.

For those coming in from out of town, please note that January is the height of the vacation season in Delray Beach. We suggest you reserve a hotel room and car as soon as possible.

Arrangements are confirmed with the following hotels for a block of rooms held for the Palm Beach Poetry Festival at special group rates for the period January 17 check in until January 22, 2011 check-out. To reserve a room at the festival’s special per-night rate, call the hotel, mention the Palm Beach Poetry Festival special event rate, and secure a reservation by credit card before December 17, 2010. After that date, special rates will no longer apply, and remaining rooms in the block will be made available for public sale and may no longer be available at that time.

We urge all workshop applicants to make reservations at the time you apply. Should you not be admitted to a workshop of your choice, you may cancel your reservation without penalty. If you wait until notification in November, room blocks may be sold out to other workshop participants.

Complimentary continental breakfast included. The above non-commissionable rates are based on single or double occupancy for king and queen bedrooms and 4 persons maximum in our two bedroom units. This rate may be extended beyond date above before or after the event by revisions to this signed agreement only.

Reservations
Individuals make their own reservations by phone: 561-276-4123 or 1-800-552-2363 with the group name. A one night advance deposit confirms each reservation. Individuals are responsible for full payment of total stay at check-in. There is a minimum of two nights stay for this discounted rate.

Cancellation Policy: Individuals must contact The Colony 72 hours prior to arrival date or forfeit one night's deposit plus tax. Applicants have until January 14th to cancel room reservations without forfeit of deposit. To ensure group rate, please book by December 22, 2010. Any unused rooms in the block will be released.

The festival has arranged for five 1 bedroom suites at a special festival rate of $249 /night. Suites have a bedroom with two beds and a living room area and fold out couch. Reservations must be made by December 19, 2008. Suites may be shared by participants, but each will be responsible for the cost of their own room. The hotel web address is: www.wbtsea.com.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation: To and from PBI Airport 800-258-3826 or 561-496-0000 www.SuperShuttle.com We have made arrangements with The Super Shuttle for transportation to and from Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) to your hotel on Delray Beach for $26 per passenger each way and a festival discount of $2.00 or $24. Just mention the festival to the shuttle representative at the Super Shuttle kiosk within the airport to receive your discounted rate.

Yellow Express Shuttle is no longer operating at Palm Beach International Airport. We are seeking another shuttle provider at this time.

These rates will be available during the festival and for one week before and after the festival (1/11-30/2010). Cars might not be available, so we suggest you book well in advance.
